In the wake of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris and guided by the GESI charter* for major international sports events – made up of 15 environmentally responsible commitments inspired by the UN sustainable development goals, adapted to sporting events - The HOKA Semi de Paris will be intensifying its CSR approach, with its partners and stakeholders, who we wish to be ever more committed alongside us.
Together, we promote the values of inclusive sport, its benefits on our health, its power to unify people around human causes and the sustainable movement that is flowing through the world of sport and around us more generally.
*GESI Charter: The Charter was launched on 12 January 2017 by the French Ministry of Sports and WWF. It sets ambitious goals with well-defined targets to make environmental responsibility a condition for organising major sports events in France. 15 environmentally responsible commitments signed by 70 stakeholders of the world of sports.
LET'S RUN TOGETHER FOR SOLIDARITY AND RESPONSIBILITY!
On the 10 environmental, social, and societal initiatives we are pursuing, we have chosen to highlight four key areas:
- 1- Running for health and wellbeing
- 2- HOKA Semi de Paris, an inclusive race that cares
- 3 - Responsible refreshment
- 4 - Run for a charity: Charity bibs
The positive impact of sport on our morale, mental balance and physical health is well known. Our drive to promote running and make people aware of the importance of prevention to stay healthy, which was already at the heart of our concerns, has become a fundamental commitment. Our new partner and the Semi de Paris offer a wide variety of advice and guidance for athletes, including:
- "Running and staying healthy every day",
- "Physical activity is good for your health",
- "Sport and nutrition"
Runners can access these themes on this website. There is something for athletes of all levels. You can find them HERE! Tips on preparing, training… and much more!
Come to the Village and, especially, the HOKA stand to talk to experts in:
- Mental and physical preparation
- Take part in stretching, yoga, relaxation and breathing sessions and more!
- Nutrition and hydration
- Recovery, etc.
A race accessible to all:
Because our race would not be as meaningful if it were not accessible to everyone, the HOKA Semi de Paris is committed to developing disabled sports.
After hosting the French Wheelchair Half Marathon Championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023, we continue to work to make running accessible to all.
The HOKASemi de Paris course is designed for all athletes and can welcome:
• Standing disabled athletes (visually impaired, deaf, amputees, etc.),
• As well as wheelchair athletes.
This means that everyone can start at the heart of the pack, according to their level and personal goals.
If you are a disabled athlete, this race is for YOU too! Please visit this page and contact us at semideparis@aso.fr.
The HOKASemi de Paris supports the Étendart charity in 2026 π¨πβοΈ
The HOKA Semi de Paris is proud to support the Étendart charity, which is behind the “We Are Étendart” movement, which works to help young people flourish through an original approach combining sport and creative art. This collaboration has led to the launch of a new educational program, the “Étendart Running Club”, designed to help 21 young people from priority neighborhoods in Paris discover running. Throughout their preparation, these young people will enjoy strong feeling combining sport, culture, and sharing. Their adventure will conclude with an unforgettable moment: their participation in the HOKA Semi de Paris.
In 2025, the HOKA Semi de Paris supported the charity : Agence Pour l’Éducation par Le Sport
(APELS), which has been working for 25 years to promote inclusion through sport using an educational method that enables it to:
• Train young people without qualifications
• Certify sports coaches
• Support companies in inclusion and diversity
• Change the dynamics of integration in cities
In 2025, 25,000€ were collected to support them. Thank you!
Two charity collections at the HOKA Semi de Paris π€π
π Food collection
100% of the food not consumed at our refreshment stations is donated to Restos du Cœur.
In 2025, this initiative enabled more than 1,000 kg of food to be redistributed, helping people in need.
π Textile collection
Textiles deposited in the starting area are collected, sorted, weighed, and then donated to charities.
In 2025, 1.35 tons of clothing was collected and redistributed, giving textiles a second life and supporting charitable causes.
π§ Stay hydrated on race day in a responsible way
This year, it will be possible to hydrate while contributing to a more environmentally friendly event. Here's how you can get water during the event:
• Bring your own hydration container: reusable cup, flask, hydration pack.
• Volunteers will be present to help fill the containers.
• Stations will allow you to fill your containers independently.
β»οΈ Zero waste on the ground throughout the course
As every year, selective sorting is in place throughout the HOKA Semi de Paris.
To limit waste:
• Refreshments are distributed without packaging.
• Bananas are pre-peeled to facilitate composting.
Recycling bins are available at each refreshment station for you to dispose of your gels and other waste.
Together, let's achieve zero waste on the ground throughout the course! πΏπͺ
By choosing a charity bib, you give meaning to your race by committing to collect donations for one of our affiliated associations.
In 2025, nearly €1 million was raised by 3,400 runners who participated in the HOKA Semi Paris, benefiting 45 associations.
